Background

The basis to I-Alcarin Angwi was formed in May 2003 through that two groups, of which the unite played Dark elves, met on the LARP "the tomorrow's dawn 3" and decided itself in order to start up a clan of Dark Elves together. The group met sporadicly during the summer but got conscientious started to the autumn then a the started association in order to help other LARP interested people to get started and this association connected itself to Sverok (the Swedish association for Roleplaying game and Strategic wargames) in November. From January 2004 might we hire a premise in Gothenburg and then begun the clan and the association have regular meetings, but unfortunately became the not some distginguished big interest for the association and the lies as from 2006 on ice forward until that we label that the exists some interest for it.

Commitments

We have produced in principle all the actual previous empty shoes, arrows and bows and the objective has always been to become one of the most serious Dark Elves clans in Sweden, not only equipmentish, without also when it comes to acting, sows a lot of time has to be placed on the mutual relationships in the clan and on our religion that has a big effect over the playing. We worship among other thing the snake god Satceh (is pronounced Sattkesh), and the is from there our name I-Alcarin Angwi "the enlightened/glorious snakes" comes. During the actual LARPs tries we to invest a lot of on atmosphere and to give other a good experience, which in turn does that one alone sheep a good experience. A visit in our camp will give the visitor a feeling of that we actually is a troop of soldiers on a journey and the group's members will know the different characters in the clan so good that they can sit and discuss or play without that the feels arranged for the visitor. The is far too for often one comes to a camp in-charcter where the inhabitants does not seem to know each other or only sits entirely quiet without doing something. We want to avoid this as far it goes. Despite that we are heavy equipment, we are no "hack'n'slash"-group. Our soldiers follows a strict honour codex where dead often is that last solution about all other things, for the exists no renown in putting to death without discrimination. We invest instead on plots, adventures and atmosphere when we are on LARP and is often a lot of involved in political plots.

Development

The group's development has gone from to from the start last a quite intermixing grupp --with both nobility, clergy and soldiers with your individual objectives-- to a more pure group with only different warriors, war priests on the top and different groups of soldiers during, that all follows same agenda. On the other hand we have become more divided with our different races. From the start the only it was only dark elves (of the more common kind in swedish LARPs) with in the group, since came the with people as functioned as servants and armoury servants and now exists the several different kinds of elves as clan members or allied/guest players. The 2 biggest is the common Dark Elves and Druchii (American Dark-Elves.) but the exists contacts also with Wood Elves.

Size

Normally seen on LARPs we comes in a group on average 15-20 persons inclusive of possible guest LARP-players.
